I was the copywriter and co-creator of the long running Verizon Wireless Testman campaign with my former art director, Gina Cruz.
The campaign ran for eight years and garnered awards for both creativity and effectiveness. This included being voted one of the top catch phrases of all-time while also winning a Gold Effie for effectiveness.
It also went viral: generating local and national coverage in mainstream TV and print news and trade journals, was included in skits on late night comedy, and is still a sign on the wall at Equinox Fitness (my gym) to remind people to, ironically, not use their phone. Go figure.
